Empowering Psychological Solutions utilises a number of evidence-based psychological treatment modalities to help each client to overcome distress, improve their wellbeing, and develop solutions that suit them. Sessions are non-judgemental, and clients' goals are taken into consideration when planning treatment. Clients are incorporated into the direction the psychological counselling sessions will take, and clients are encouraged to be open and honest about their goals.


The technique/s used will depend on the presenting issue, the goal/s of each client, and the psychological learning style indicated by each client. 


I use the following psychological techniques in my practice:


Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

Positive Psychology 



Each individual client that comes to an appointment with Empowering Psychological Solutions is treated with respect, and an appropriate, evidence-based psychological treatment is used to help each client improve their wellbeing. Services will not be continued ad infinitum for no reason; once either client or Psychologist feel that significant progress towards the client's goals has been made, there will be a discussion around this, with the aim to move towards the cessation of treatment.
